Bathroom Remodel

After finishing the living room, we decided to tackle the girls' bathroom.  It was very outdated and did not have a shower, only a tub.  Once again, we did most of the work ourselves, which made for some very long evenings and weekends, but we are very happy with the results.  And, we were quite impressed to complete the project in about a month!

Zoo Fun with Friends

Our good friends from Alaska were in town for a few days, and we had the pleasure of spending one of those mornings at the zoo with them.  Even though I took the stroller, the girls impressed me by walking the entire time.  We had fun looking at all the animals and playing on the small playground.

Ella loved the time on the playground
most of all!

Emma did too!

Thanks Lisa, Sam, and Bethany for a very fun morning.

April Showers

We have been so very dry this year.  Yesterday, we received a brief rain shower in the afternoon.  Ella and Emma were so cute.  As soon as they saw it was raining, they ran to the closet for their winter hats, gloves, and rain boots.  It was probably 75-80 degrees outside, but they insisted on wearing the hats and gloves to go play in the rain.  Not sure when we might get a chance to play in the rain again, I readily agreed and went in search of umbrellas.  It was a very brief shower, and by the time we were all ready to play it had pretty much stopped raining, but we had fun anyway.  The umbrellas protected us from the water falling from the trees.
All ready to play!

We had such a good time jumping in the puddles and playing with our umbrellas.  We made some great memories that day!

Hoppy Easter!

This year we decided to celebrate Easter at our house.  We had my parents, my brother, Bryan's parents, grandparents, brother and sister-in-law over for lunch.  That makes 13 people total.  The house was full, but we had lots of good food and fun.

Memaw gave the girls the super stretchy rabbits.
They had so much fun swinging them around!

Ella really liked the ice cream.

After lunch, we had an Easter egg hunt.  The girls had a great time getting all the eggs.  Interestingly enough, Emma was very methodical about picking up the eggs, picking each one up as she came to it.  Ella was a bit less organized, running from egg to egg as she saw them, frequently running right past one to get to a different one.  But, they both still ended up with about the same number of eggs.
Ready to go!

We hope you all had a very Happy Easter and took time to remember our risen Lord.  Praise God for sending His One and Only Son into this world for us!
