January Overview

We've had a busy month! Mommy had tonsillitis, Daddy had a sore throat, and Emma had an ear infection in the middle of the month.  At the end of the month, Emma is stuffy and coughing, Ella is just stuffy (thankfully not coughing at this time), Daddy is stuffy and has a sore throat, and I think I'm starting to get a sinus infection.  Father, God, The Great Physician- please heal my family.

Despite all the illness, we've actually had a pretty good month.  Daddy won the chili cook-off at church.  We joined a gym with an indoor pool.  Bryan and I have been to work out several times, and we have taken the girls to swim every week since getting the membership.  The girls also started back in gymnastics.

We got out one of the girls' old high chairs so Bella and Bryann can join us for meals:

Snow Day!

We received 12"-13" of snow last night and this morning.  It is beautiful!  It's pretty rare for school to be cancelled for snow around here, but they did today!  Emma, Ella, and I had fun shoveling and playing in the snow this afternoon.  The girls discovered it was much easier to play in the snow in the back of daddy's pick-up than to try to walk in foot deep snow.  So, while I was shoveling they played in the pick-up and tried to climb on top of the cab.  They even used the windshield as a slide a time or two before we decided that wasn't such a good idea. (I was concerned they'd break his windshield.)

A Birthday Party

Ella and Emma were invited to help celebrate Caelie's 7th birthday at a nearby bakery.  They took a tour of the bakery, made bracelets, and decorated two cookies and a cupcake.  During the party, a man came over from the store next door to let us know Elsa and Anna were visiting their store, and we could go over and see them.  How very fun!  It was an all around great party!
