New Redbud Tree
In October 2013, we planted two new trees in our front yard. Unfortunately, the tree closest to the house did not survive. So, today we planted a new tree. This time we decided to do the planting ourselves instead of paying a company to do it. When we dug the dead tree out, we discovered the roots had never spread out of the root ball, which explains why it died. We also discovered the company that planted it did not dig a nearly big enough hole because of the roots from the super large maple tree we had taken down. Our girls were big helpers on this project: helping to dig, refilling dirt, and anything else. We also called in a couple of brothers to provide the muscle to get the tree into the hole. Now we are hoping we can keep this tree alive.

Easter 2015
Happy Easter from our little bunnies!
(Ella- blue, Emma- pink)
The Easter bunny came last night and brought Bible covers, highlighters, and bookmarks for our girls.
He also hid some eggs with candy and money inside around the living room for them to find.Already using their gifts:
Ready to worship with Grammie and Grandy!
Grandy and Grammie joined us for lunch after worship. Yesterday, Ella and Emma helped me make this cake to enjoy after lunch. It was delicious!
Of course, we had to keep our family tradition of Easter egg hunts. This year, Grandy and Daddy hid eggs for the girls a few times, and the girls took turns hiding eggs for all of us as well. That way everyone had a chance to hunt.
As Grandy and Grammie were leaving, our girls showed me how to shoot the bow and arrow they bought at Disney World. They are a pretty good shot.
We had a wonderful day as a family spending time together and praising God for the amazing gift of his Son!

Ella's First Lost Tooth
We finally pulled Ella's first tooth this evening. Daddy tied the floss, and Mommy put it on the tooth and pulled. Exciting!
