August Antics

Daddy and Emma having some fun while shopping:
More lost teeth: (Emma has now lost 6 teeth, and Ella is up to 3.)
 Yummy donuts!
These girls love to sleep together!
I also had a wonderful birthday at the end of this month.  My precious family did a lot to make it special.  Unfortunately, we apparently didn't take any pictures of it though.

First Day of Second Grade

Both girls want to be veterinarians in Alaska and have pet Husky's when they grow up.  (I think they were heavily influenced by their Alaska loving cousins this summer!)
 A little bit of silliness:
 Excited to go in:
I love that I get the privilege of taking them to school and picking them up every day!
Now that it's almost time to go to class, Emma was a bit more nervous:
Ella had found out her friend Zara is in her class this year.  No nerves here:

Palo Duro Zip Line

This morning, we went to Palo Duro Canyon to experience the zip line with several others from our church.  The actual zip is not particularly long, but it is very fun!  The girls especially loved it!  In fact, we had so much fun, we did it twice!
 First, Daddy and Emma went:
 Then, Mommy and Ella:
Waiting for the others in our group to go:
 Let's go again!
Others in our group waiting for their turn:
 Daddy and Ella, this time:
 That was so much fun!
 The 4 brave kids:

Summer Bowling

We joined the Kids Bowl Free summer program at our local bowling alley.  We bowled many games this summer.  It was a fun activity for the whole family!  (And all of us improved over the summer as well.)  The girls went from scores around 40 to in the 60's over the summer.  Mommy actually scored over 100 a few times, and Daddy even scored over 200 a couple of times.

Back to School Blessing- 2nd grade

We are so blessed to be a part of a church family who cares greatly for children.  Each year, they take the time to pray for our kids and the upcoming school year.  Then there is a min-carnival to start the school year off with a little fun.  This year, our girls' favorite activity was the face painting.

Rangers and Schlitterbahn

Vacation with Daddy's family is always full of fun, and this trip was no exception.  We started with Emma losing another tooth, in the car on the way to Price, Annie, and Caroline's house.

The cousins all had a great time together:
Then we went to a Texas Rangers game.  It was the Rangers vs. the Yankees.  Rangers won 5-2! And we stayed till the very end.
The next day, we headed to San Marcos for some outlet shopping on our way to New Braunfels.
We spent two wonderful, fun, exciting, and exhausting days at Schiltterbahn.  (Not many pictures because I didn't want to get the camera wet.)
We had a nice, albeit HOT, dinner at the Gristmill in Gruene to celebrate Memaw's birthday before heading home the next day.  It was another wonderful vacation with some great memories made with family!
