February- Sickness and Sleeping

February had been a month of sickness for our family.  Both girls have been fighting their terrible coughs.  I've had a sinus infection. And Daddy has had some major stomach issues resulting in several medical tests, including a scope.  Thankfully, we all seem to be on the mend now (although, those nasty coughs just don't seem to want to go away).

We got our piano tuned early this month.  It sounds so much better now:

Clearing the Brick

We recently decided to take down the brick half wall on our front porch.  Daddy has never really liked it, and when he leaned against one of the pillars the other day, it started to fall.  So, today was the day to take it down.  Our girls did a fabulous job helping.  They picked up bricks, hauled them away, and did a fair amount of sweeping up the little bits.  My parents and brother came over to help as well.  What started out as just taking down the wall, turned into taking up all the brick and hauling it to the dump. It was a much bigger job than we set out to do, but we are certainly glad to have it done. (The before picture is from 4 years ago.  Look how little those sweet girls were!)

Hockey Game

We took the girls to their first hockey game.  Our team lost the game, but we still had fun! We liked eating all the food, and the girls learned pretty quickly to pay attention to the game, so when someone slammed up against the glass it wouldn't scare us. Their favorite part, though, was dancing in the aisles between periods.

Daddy/ Daughter Date Night

This evening our local Chick-Fil-A hosted a Daddy/ Daughter Date Night.  Daddy and both girls report having a great time!  The restaurant was decorated nicely; they provided table service; and Elsa and Ariel were there signing autographs.  A very fun evening out!
