March 2016

March has been full of ups and downs.  Still quite a bit of sickness with our girls (coughing, ear aches, fevers, tummy aches, etc.)  But lots of good memories made as well.  I guess we have to have the bad to more fully appreciate the good!

Easter 2016

As usual, our Easter was split into 2 days.  First, the week before we had the egg hunt at our church.
Daddy and Mommy wearing the bunny ears during the hunt:
Then we celebrate Easter morning.  The Easter bunny has filled our baskets and hidden eggs around the living room.
It snowed last night!  Makes for a cold Easter. (Cold enough Mommy decided to not wear her new Easter dress, but opted for a sweater and boots instead.)
 Visiting Grammie and Grandy's church:
A week or so later, we all wore our Easter outfits when it was finally warm enough to do so.
Happy Easter!  Praise God; we serve a Risen Savior!!!

Spring Break

We have a fun, although somewhat marred Spring Break.  We've painted, played, flown kites, baked, gone bowling, etc, while trying to fight off coughs, ear aches, and fever.  The sickness seemed to come and go, but both girls were feeling good on Wednesday and Thursday, so that's when we did most of the fun stuff.

Finally have the right weather to fly the kites we got at Christmas.

Second Grade Program

These sweet cowgirls had their second grade program in the school gymnasium today.  Ella really wanted to wear a cowboy hat, so she made one out of paper.  We think she did a mighty fine job of it as well.  The program was full of songs about cowboy life and livin' on the range.  Lots of singin' and dancin' to the songs they've been learning for the last several weeks.  It was a great program, and we were honored to be there to watch!
If you look closely, you can see Emma right in front, and Ella in the background.
