May Merriment

May started out with a bang as Bryan took me to Oklahoma City to see The Lion King as my Christmas present.  It is an absolutely marvelous show.  I just kept smiling through the whole thing.  If you have a chance to see this spectacular show, do it.  It was the best Christmas present ever!

The next morning we went to the Oklahoma City Memorial. It had been raining most of the morning, but luckily, it stopped just long enough for us to walk around and remember that tragic day.

As the weather has gotten a bit warmer, the girls and I have started a new tradition.  We take a walk up and down the street and check the mail most afternoons before their nap.  They really love riding in their wagon.  Some days, we'll sit in the shade of one of the trees and play or blow bubbles.

Emma

These pics were taken May 14.  As I texted Bryan that morning, "It was going to be one of those days" but in a good way.  Ella and Emma were into everything that day and having a ball doing it.  They pulled the books off the shelves, played the piano, got all the tupperware out of the drawer, etc.  All while I was trying to keep their pants on.  These adorable pants are a little big in the waist, and they would literally crawl right out of them.  It was all very cute and very much fun.
"Reading" is one of our favorite things to do.

This is how Emma looked when she woke up from her nap one day:
Nice Hair!

Our girls are growing and changing so much every day.  It's hard to keep up with them.  But what a joy they bring to our lives!!!!

April Pictures

We have had a busy couple of months, so this is a very delayed post.  But, I finally got all the pics on our new computer and edited, so I thought I would update a little at a time.

We spent Easter at my sister's house this year.  We had a great time.  Here's some pics:

Happy Birthday Ella and Emma!!

One year ago today, God blessed us with 2 precious baby girls.  Wow!  Time has flown.  They have grown and learned so much in such a short period of time.  We are truly blessed with happy and healthy babies.

Happy Birthday Ella and Emma!!!

P.S.  I'll try to post some new pics of them soon, but it might have to wait until after their party on Saturday.

Need a Laugh?

I took this video about a month ago.  Ella and Emma were practicing standing holding on to the couch, and I started bouncing the ball in the seat.  Here's what happened:

They laughed like this for over 5 minutes!  It was way too much fun!  We are very blessed to have such happy babies!

P.S.  We purchased a new computer last week, and I am waiting to get my photo editing software loaded and pictures edited before posting new pictures.  Hopefully, I'll have lots of new pictures to share soon (including, but not limited to, Easter and both girls standing after pulling themselves up).

Keeping Up with Sister

Emma is crawling!!!!

Saturday evening Emma decided she wanted a drink out of the cup Ella was using, so she crawled over and grabbed it. I quickly ran for the video camera to try to catch it on video. To get her to crawl towards me, I built a small tower out of blocks for her to knock down. Who can resist that? Here's the video:

We did this several times, and pretty soon, Ella wanted in on the fun. Here they are crawling together:

It is so exciting to watch them learn new things! I definitely have to keep a close eye on them as they are beginning to explore. So far, they haven't really ventured outside of the living room and kitchen, but I'm sure it won't be long before I'll be searching the house for my mobile little girls.

By the way, I also discovered Emma's 3rd tooth this same day.

Break Out the Baby Proofing...

Ella is crawling!!!!

Monday morning, while I was playing with Emma, I thought I saw Ella crawl for the very first time. But, in the split second it took to give her my full attention, she started playing with a toy instead. So, I quickly grabbed the video camera, just in case, and of course, she didn't do it again. Then at lunch, she got up on her hands and knees and started rocking like she has been doing for a couple of weeks. I grabbed the video camera again, and...

I could hardly believe it!!! I was so excited!!! She crawled a short distance several times in about 45 minutes. She has not done it very much since, but at least we know she can.

Standing, Swinging, and Sliding

So many new things.... So little time. In the last 2 weeks, our girls have learned many new things.
