"Hunting" with Daddy

Daddy took the girls down to Datt's hunting lease while I went on a Ladies Retreat.  The hunting lease has a barn with bunk beds and heat, but no running water right now.  They had a marvelous time!  Meanwhile, I had a nice, uplifting time learning more about being strong and courageous in the Lord.

March Madness- Our Style

Our knights with shields and swords:
One day we packed a picnic for lunch, picked up Daddy from work, and went to a nearby park.  Our girls declared this as a, "Best Day Ever!"
The first day of Spring Break was house cleaning day.  To make it more fun, we played 80's music nice and loud, and wore our tiaras!  Ella and Emma are getting more and more helpful around the house.
My attempt at a hairstyle I saw online.  It turned out ok, but not quite like the picture.
Sadly, illness struck again.  This time Ella had tonsillitis.  So, it was another campout in the living room to keep a close eye on her all night.  Of course, Emma wanted to sleep in there with us.  (Daddy claims Mommy sleeps with her legs like this although she has never woken up in that position.)
A sweet note Emma wrote for Ella while I took her to the doctor.
 Sleeping Sweetly!

Discovery Center- Lego Exhibit

We had a great morning together as a family!  Today we purchased a year long pass to our local Discovery Center.  They currently have a large Lego exhibit, a section for construction type work, and much, much more.

Dressed up Princesses in the Lego Castle:
 Watch out for the dragon!
In the stage type area our girls performed the entire song "Let It Go" from the movie Frozen.  (We have it on video, but I'm having difficulty uploading it.  I'll add it when I can.)
 Building Areas:
It was a fantastic day!!

Rodeo Day

It was rodeo day for kindergarten at school today.  Our girls loved wearing their cowgirl outfits to school.  Ella decided on the pose for the pictures.  We even had a little fun playing the part of the villain.  (Ella- left, Emma- right)

Spring Gymnastics

Our girls are learning and improving with each new gymnastics class.  This session really seems to be working on beginning tumbling (cart wheels, round offs, hand stands, beginning back hand springs, etc.) with time spent on the other apparatuses as well.  They have opened a new gym for the younger kids to help with space constraints at the big gym and for safety when the team is practicing.  I am able to watch all their classes in the new gym, which is really nice.  I took my camera to today's class.  (Emma- purple pants and white striped shirt, Ella- pink shorts leotard)

It's really neat to watch them improve from week to week!
