15 Year College Reunion
I can hardly believe it has been 15 years since I graduated from LCU. We decided to go to my reunion this year and watch Master Follies.
We drove down yesterday and had some extra time before the reunion began, so we went to a nearby park to play. This park is amazing, and we all had fun playing.
The all school part of the reunion was well attended, but unfortunately, my class only had about 4 people (and their spouses) show up (and it wasn't anyone I really spent time with in college). Oh well, at least the food was good.
This morning, we went to the LOA/ Kyodai breakfast. Many of my friends were there, and we had a nice visit. We then walked around campus, briefly visited the Education Department Reunion, and ate lunch in the cafeteria before heading over to watch Master Follies. It was a great show, with LOA having the best show I've seen them do in a while, although they didn't win. After the show, we headed home. All in all, it was a good weekend!

First Snow of the New Year
Hurray for Moisture!!! We had a nice little snowfall, so of course, the girls wanted to go out and play in it. My angels had fun making snow angels and a snowman. It was their great idea to use the frozen blueberries and carrot to make the snowman's face. (Unfortunately, as the blueberries melted, they left a purplish trail down his face and neck that was not nearly as attractive.)
We also enjoyed a small snowball fight!

The Angels Beckon Me Song and a Silly Dance
The other day, the girls were sitting at the kitchen table when they asked me if we could sing "the song about angels from church." Not having any clue which song they wanted, I asked for more information. They said, "You know mom, the one that goes 'the angels beckon me from heavens open Lord, and I can't feel at home in this door any more.'" Even with the missed words, their sweet little voices singing the song made it instantly recognizable. They wanted to sing "This World is Not My Home." So we sang it, and have been singing it ever since! They sing it loud and proud every time it is lead at worship (even requesting it when the opportunity arises), and many times at home since.
The second part of the video is a silly little dance they love to do any time someone is willing to watch.

Off to a Great Start (Almost)
2013 is off to an awesome start, for the most part. Unfortunately, Emma and Ella caught a bug from some cousins in Kansas City, so we started out with some sickness. Thankfully, they are feeling much better now, and we are back to having fun!
When the girls wanted different colored boots, I was concerned they would fight over them or be sad they didn't match. Have no fear, momma, we'll just wear one of each:

2012 Blessings
We have been blessed in more ways than I can count this year. I am amazed everyday as I watch our girls grow. They are learning more and more about God, life, academics, behavior, and in every other way! We are blessed that God chose us to parent such wonderful girls.
This year we spent lots of time with family, went on some amazing vacations (Six Flags, Alaska, The Ranch, Kansas City, Junction, etc.), remodeled our kitchen, celebrated our girls' 4th birthday, bought a new car, and many other things. It's been an awesome year! We are excited to see all the blessings God had in store for us in 2013!
