Hooray for the first day in the parks!! We begin at Hollywood Studios:
Let the fun begin:
Our first stop, The Voyage of the Little Mermaid: (because our girls are all about Ariel right now) We had a little wait before the show began, but once inside, the girls were mesmerized! The Great Movie Ride:
The Hollywood Tower of Terror: (One of our favorite rides!) We were so excited that our girls are big enough for most of the rides. Our first test of their big ride excitement was on this ride. While they didn't particularly want to ride it again, they did like the ride. I loved watching their reactions as the ride went along.
Our beautiful girls with some flowers they found in the line (Ella is looking at the camera, while Emma is looking at her flower.)
After Tower of Terror, we bought a snack and watched the Beauty and the Beast performance, before heading over to Toy Story Mania. The line for this ride was the longest of the day! But we endured the line and had lots of fun on the ride.
It was now about time for our lunch/ supper/ dinner (?slupper?) reservations at 3:50 pm at Hollywood and Vine. While waiting for our table to be ready, Ella and I headed over to the nearest store to look around a bit. Ella saw several (many) items she wanted, but she absolutely fell in love with this Minnie Mouse doll. I told her we would have to ask daddy, but could probably come back later. Well, bring on the tears. She was heart broken. (It didn't help that she had only had some popcorn and a sucker since breakfast, and it was now about 3:45pm.) So, she was still crying when we went back outside to meet up with everyone else. She told Emma about it, and we even showed her the picture and took her in the store to see it, so of course Emma wanted one too. Well, Daddy and I talked and decided we would go back for it after slupper.
However, Grandy could not bear to see those great big crocodile tears. So, he wondered off for a bit before coming back with two bags in his hand. He handed one to Ella and this was her reaction:
Emma was not quite so dramatic about it because she had not had quite the leading up to it experience that Ella had. But, she was still quite happy to get it.
Grandy, The Hero!
Fantasmic! was fantastic! The girls were amazed by the entire show. I think I had as much or more fun watching them as I did watching the show. In fact, I teared up a little at the end of the show because it has been such a wonderful day! I am so happy to be sharing this magical experience with my wonderful husband and precious girls!
At the end of the day, we had one final surprise for today at the resort for our girls. New Ariel pajamas!Ready for sleep and the Magic Kingdom tomorrow:
