Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party was. . . ummmmmmm. . . ok. In fact, it was a little disappointing to us. We had lots of fun dressing up and seeing all the costumes. We loved meeting Mickey and Minnie and seeing their Halloween costumes. The parade was neat (what we could see), the castle show was awesome, and the fireworks were absolutely amazing! However, it was seriously over-crowded! We had a hard time finding the Trick or Treat stations (only managing to find one) and didn't get to ride any rides because it was hard to get anywhere with all the people and the lines were LONG!! We did manage to find a place to watch the parade with only minimal obstructions. We were told if we could have waited for the second parade and for the second half of the evening, the crowds would thin out pretty well as all the parents with small children left early (unfortunately from that stand point, we fall into the category of parents with small children who left early). If we had known how crowded it would be beforehand, we probably would have saved our money. Oh well, at least we already have our super- cute costumes ready for Halloween.
Emma and Minnie:
Ella and Mickey: (They each got a hug from Mickey and Minnie, I just chose the best picture of each of them to include on here.)
Minnie seemed to really appreciate my costume.
Some of the villains still made our girls a bit nervous, even if the party was supposed to be "not so scary."
Halloween Parade:
The castle lighting is really neat. They project various scenes from many of the Disney movies directly onto the castle. (The Lion King, Up, Cinderella, just to show a few)
Waiting for the fireworks to start:
One of the best fireworks displays we've ever seen!
After a wonderful day and ok evening, we were all exhausted! The girls were asleep before we even got out of the park gates. (Thank goodness for our double stroller!)
